There are several different ways to explore the beautiful islands of the Croatian Adriatic. One option is to book a mini cruise holiday package that will take you between Dubrovnik and Split stopping at various island ports along the way. But we believe our highly personalized and unique holiday packages are a cut above this standard option. Here are 7 important reasons to consider booking with Korcula Adventures instead.
You’ll find that suites on a mini cruise span an average of 10 meters squared, providing you with rather cramped living quarters. In comparison, by booking our holiday package you’ll have on average a luxurious 50 metres square to enjoy all to yourself! To find out more about the range of accommodation we offer, ranging from comfort options to a luxury penthouse suite, check out our dedicated Villa page.
The small cruise ships operate on a tight time schedule and are typically limited to docking at each destination for one night only, from around 5pm until the next morning. Meanwhile, we have a high speed yacht at our disposal which puts all the major island destinations within easy reach. Within a couple of hours you can access the delights of Dubrovnik, Mljet, Hvar, Vis, the Peljesac peninsula and plenty more. This means you’ll have more time to immerse yourself in each place, fit more into your schedule overall, as well as enjoy more downtime back in our villa base on Korcula.
We are proud to offer more than 14 exclusive day excursions spanning seven different Croatian island destinations. Moreover, we can easily tailor our holiday packages to suit the unique needs and preferences of each guest, resulting in truly individualized experiences. Arrival and departure dates can also be adjusted to any day of the week to fit in with your ideal flight dates. In comparison, cruise packages operate fixed itineraries with pre-determined start and end dates (normally falling on the weekend). In short, booking with us guarantees more choice compared to that offered on a cruise vessel, along with plenty of flexibility.
Our villa and yacht have a maximum capacity of 14 guests, whilst on a mini cruise vessel you can expect to find between 30 and 40 passengers. In addition, the guest to crew ratio on our holiday packages is 1:1, whilst on a cruise it is nearer 4:1. Both these factors allow us to deliver an exceptional level of personalized service, as well as giving you more chance to get to know your fellow holidaymakers.
Quality local cuisine
Out of necessity, cruise liners rely on supermarket supplies and farmed fish for all their meal provisions. In contrast, we at Korcula Adventures pride ourselves on our fresh, locally sourced and lovingly prepared homemade food. We draw on local island ingredients and traditional recipes to provide you with an authentic and mouth-watering immersion into Croatia’s culinary landscape. Our captain catches all the fish himself on the day and we can guarantee it doesn’t get any fresher than this!
Our holiday packages are all inclusive, encompassing all things big and small, from private round airport transfers and national park entrance fees, to daily meals, yacht transportation, all excursions and alcoholic drinks. Meanwhile, on a mini cruise package you’ll have to watch out for some of these extra expenses.
Finally, we should add that we offer highly competitive rates compared to many of the mini cruise fares you’ll find. If you’re convinced, or if we’ve piqued your curiosity, you can check out our full range of tailor made holiday packages to learn more about our offerings.
